Although Australia’s dance scene is booming with future bass heavyweights, Back Back Forward Punch have taken it upon themselves to spur a 90s house revival with their innovative blend of electro, disco, and house. The Melbourne-based duo have accrued a deep catalog of rug-cutting tracks, and they continue with the sophomore single off their debut EP, Tragic Lover, titled “Settle The Score.” Overlaying a fetching processed vocal from Andy Liddell, BBFP lock in a bustling drum rack to keep our heart rate steady, while they plate an elastic bass pluck on top to send the track’s irresistible groove directly into the dance floor.
