Pete Tong premieres Amtrac’s ‘Hold On’ on BBC1
Amtrac’s house-fueled return to original production duties earned a nod from the estimable Pete Tong this past weekend on BBC1 Radio. The Kentucky native’s next trick, “Hold On,” establishes itself with an eccentric and sample-driven swing that has come to define the Amtrac sound. A hollowed out sub bass provides the framework for the future spun nod to Chicago house that follows a string of top notch release including a remix of Pompeya’s “Pasadena.” Officially dropping on August 21st via Toolroom Records, “Hold On” is another grade A cut from one of the genre’s most prolific and quality-controlled talents.
