Tiësto taps into a new market with ‘Change Your World’ featuring Chinese pop star Jane Zhang
Tiësto’s newest collaboration is proving that music really is a universal language. Partnering up with a new face to those of us in the West, Jane Zhang is no stranger to the Chinese market. Considered one of the country’s top pop singers, she most recently crossed over to American pop culture with a feature on a track with Big Sean called “Fighting Shadows” from the newest Terminator Genisys film.
Tiësto becomes the latest to intertwine with the relatively foreign Chinese market with a new collaboration with Jane Zhang. In preparation for his headlining slot at Shanghai’s branded Budweiser STORM Music Festival, Tiësto is reaching out to his China fanbase with “Change Your World,” a new collaboration with the famous singer. Though the progressions sound like a typical Tiësto effort, what most might be surprised by are the track’s entirely Mandarin Chinese lyrics, save for the title chorus line.
“She has an amazing voice,” Tiësto says of Jane Zhang. “It was very easy to work with her. I think the song is perfect for her.” STORM Festival in Shanghai is on October 2nd and 3rd.
