Recently signed onto the Armada imprint Bearded Man with his remix of “Liberation,” Kiso has cemented his prowess as a deep house wunderkind. While maintaining the core piano riff and vocal elements of the original by Harold Van Lennep, the Chicagoan producer succeeds in re-working “Liberation” into a catchy 4/4 piece with a disco vibe. Where Van Lennep presents a more serious ethos, Kiso lifts up the energy with rattles and a familiar house kick heard in many renowned pieces of the genre. With productions of this soulful and eclectic nature, it comes as no surprise that he’s found a home in Bearded Man.
