M.I.A. reveals forthcoming collaboration with Skrillex

Singer M.I.A. is chipping away progress on her fifth studio album, and though the details beyond that are unknown, she uploaded a clue to Instagram that dished on one collaborator. Skrillex, who has kept busy this year with multiple solo and collaborative projects, was photographed on his laptop, with the photo’s emoji-filled caption reading “MATAHDATAH.”
We presume the caption alludes to the title of her forthcoming album, since it derives from the title of a video shared last month on Apple Music. “Matahdatah Scroll 01 Broader Than a Border” features her song “Warriors,” as well as “Swords,” a new production that is rumored to be the new album’s first of ten tracks.
