Zac Brown Band makes plans to create more electronic music

After the success of the Avicii-produced “Broken Arrow” and their electronic influenced 2015 album Jekyll + Hyde, the EDM-country fusion will sail on for Zac Brown Band. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone Country, Zac Brown divulges on the Grammy-winning group’s plans to include more dance music and addresses the comparisons of Jekyll + Hyde‘s lead track “Beautiful Drug” as an Avicii-style EDM record. “You can de-select the songs that you don’t want to have on the record, but I hope we always put something out that has a lot of songs that the majority of people will love,” Brown says. “So I’m working on new electronic music, and we’ll be writing the new Zac Brown Band record along the way.”

Although the band has received some flack in the past for not making pure country music, the majority of their album’s sound still rests heavily in country as they dabble and experiment with other genres like rock and jazz. Brown says he’ll begin writing the new records this fall during the return of their Jekyll + Hyde tour.
