Canadian craftsman AutoErotique saw his initial rise thanks to Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak label where he put out bass-pumping outputs with the likes of Mercer, Felix Cartal, 4B, and the label head himself. His summer smash, “LYAOF,” became an essential weapon at festivals this summer with Kaskade incorporating it into his Main Stage performance at EDC Las Vegas and Diplo bringing the track’s heat to Burning Man. Only a few months later and AutoErotique teamed up with Diplo’s Major Lazer outfit for a new original titled “The Sound” ahead of the trio’s Peace Is The Mission 2.0. Major Lazer’s trademark reggae infusion rides high above the instrumental with a voice preaching “break up the song then I break up the bass” leading up into a grating future-meets-electro house finish for yet another festival-sized tune.
