Martin Garrix premieres new single ‘Poison’ during ADE

Amsterdam is quieting down after the annual mass exodus of dance music fans heading home from yet another successful ADE. Amid the busy schedule of conferences by day and performances by night, teenage dance titan Martin Garrix sent shockwaves through a stadium-filled crowd on Saturday, playing through a barrage of his own music. The Dutch superstar took the industry event to debut a new unreleased track, showcasing his recent transformation from his “Animals” and “Tremor” days into more melodic terrain such as that of “Forbidden Voices.”

The new song, titled “Poison,” sports a similar progressive house style to his recent collaboration with Matisse & Sadko, “Dragon,” gliding beneath Matthew Koma’s vocal line from Fedde le Grand and Nicky Romero’s “Spark (Turn Off Your Mind).” At about 29 and a half minutes, we also hear another piece from Garrix’s studio vault, “Don’t Crack Under Pressure,” which he originally debuted at Sziget Festival back in August. Both pieces support Martin Garrix’s new direction, while maintaining the dance prodigy’s momentum straight into the new year.

Check out both unreleased tracks in the video of his full set above.
