Check out this unexpected re-imagination of The Prodigy’s “Roadblox” by techno stalwart Paula Temple. While the UK icons’ work is no stranger to impressive remix efforts, the latest twist up may as well be a complete re-creation of one of The Day Is My Enemy’s most visceral tracks. Where “Roadblox” was a punch to the face of industrial grime and drum and bass mayhem, Temple’s construct delivers a more subdued but equally foreboding instrumental. A hard-edged techno cut from start to finish “Roadblox” a la Paula Temple is an afterhours haunt designed to redline systems with low-end frequencies and discordant percussion.
