Watch This: Trent Reznor shares his love for Moog synthesizers
Moog Music recently recruited Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails fame for an intimate conversation about his history with the famous line of synthesizers. The 12-minute piece, entitled Archetype of a Synthesizer, coincides with a particularly poignant bit of news from the storied manufacturer: Moog have discontinued the production of their famous Minimoog Voyager synth.
In the video, Reznor discusses acquiring his first ever Moog synth, the Moog Prodigy, as well as meeting Bob Moog at a Nine Inch Nails show. In regards to the Minimoog Voyager, he confesses his attachment to the synth: “I always got one in backup in case something might happen because it’s part of every project I’ve ever done.”
Moog Music will manufacture 600 Minimoog Voyagers before ceasing production on the line.
