Hardwell will host 100,000 on his personal guest list for a charity concert in Mumbai

The season of charitable giving is upon us, and Hardwell isn’t shying away. The Dutch DJ is the founder of the United We Are Foundation, a charity that works to provide education to disadvantaged students in India. His most recent work for the foundation is his attempt to set a Guinness World Record for World’s Biggest Guest List.

On December 13, Hardwell will play a massive show in Mumbai- with a different outcome than typical arena shows. Rather than collecting appearance fees, all proceeds of the concert with go towards educating 3,000 Indian students through the Magic Bus program. On November 8, pre-registration for the guest list opened, and 125,000 entered for the 100,000 spots on the DJ’s personal guest list (and promptly crashed servers). As of now, there are 157,000 “going” to the event on Facebook and another 20,000 “interested.” Hardwell shared his underlying drive behind the event, explaining that “through my music I want to make a social change. To give young children a chance to gain an education and provide them with the tools to make their own social change as they become adults.”
