Although Justin Jay may have started the year as a senior at USC, he will end the year having completed his first a world tour and launching a brand new project called Justin Jay & Friends. The Dirtybird star has been successfully developing his artistic project predominantly in the underground world, however, the Justin Jay & Friends project looks to take the fun and organic nature of music with friends to a larger stage.

The first Justin Jay & Friends single of many to come, “Karma,” featuring buddies Josh Taylor on vocals and Benny Bridges on guitar, has been teased by the LA producer at festivals like Desert Hearts, CRSSD, and Coachella. For those that have lost faith in the tropical house genre, “Karma” may give you hope. Intertwining Benny Bridges’ slick guitar strums amongst an ensemble bongos, jungle flutes, and a grumbling bass, Justin Jay sets a mellow yet upbeat tone for Josh Taylor to lay his hypnotizing voice atop for a palette-refreshing crossbreed of underground and pop elements.

“Karma” will be released on November 23rd via Black Butter Records.
