Martin Garrix has a collaboration with Walk The Moon in the works

Early this year, Martin Garrix noted in an interview at ADE that he would begin to turn his artistic sound more towards the melodic tendencies heard in “Forbidden Voices” and the monster Usher-featured single, “Don’t Look Down.” His recent release with Matisse & Sadko and newest free download, “Poison,” resided in the Dutch superstar’s progressive house space, but it seems Garrix’s first transition into melodic productions may be with an unlikely collaborator from an entirely different genre sphere.

According to LA’s Truth Studios, Martin Garrix and Walk The Moon’s lead singer Nicholas Petricca began working on a collaboration earlier this month. The site keeps the details sparse and the session seemed to be introductory, but Martin Garrix’s dance-pop capabilities combined with the vocalist of “Shut Up And Dance With Me,” one of 2015’s biggest tracks, could spawn something of epic proportions. For now, we will just have to wait to see if an end product will come from this peculiar collaboration.
