Mord Fustang showcases past and future on new ‘Murmurs EP’

Adjoining himself with an eclectic roster of talent that now includes ATTLAS, Matt Lange, Fehrplay, and No Mana, Mord Fustang‘s latest arrives on mau5trap Records at the tail end of the year. Landing on deadmau5’s imprint with a three track offering, the Estonian’s latest output blends his previous electro laden work with an surge in a new direction.

Both “Murmurs,” the EP’s namesake, and “Flip The Bacon” provide the electronic music world with more of what Mord Fustang has become known for. Glimmering melodic undertones make way for blistering electro tendencies, although the two original mixes are significantly lighter than previous work like “Drivel” and “If You Want.” “Falling Up” is where the producer flexes his production muscles, as Mord Fustang glistens with shimmering synths among a rolling bassline. As the newest addition to the mau5trap Records family, Mord Fustang’s debut on the imprint may showcase what the future of one of electronic music’s brightest talent might become.
