X Ambassadors – Unsteady (Jack Novak & Stravy Remix)

X Ambassadors‘ “Unsteady” is currently making its way up the Alternative charts, and just received its first dance rework from Jack Novak and 22-year old newcomer Stravy. Novak and Stravy are both Chicago natives, but they first found each other through Twitter before meeting in real life. Stravy attended one of Novak’s shows shortly after, launching their collaborative partnership.

The uptempo rendition opens with the familiar brooding piano chords of the original, but builds into the hard-hitting electro sound that has become Novak’s signature by the 40-second mark. Sam Harris’ soulful original vocal holds its own, but melodic synths and a driven bassline prime the track for the main stage.
