A$AP Ferg reveals upcoming collaboration with Skrillex

Ever since A$AP Rocky rapped over Skrillex‘s remix of Birdy Nam Nam’s “Goin’ In” to create the now iconic “Wild for the Night,” it’s been clear that Skrillex can do no wrong as a rap producer. This theory has been tested to great success with Sonny Moore’s recent collaborations with Vic Mensa and The Game: “No Chill” and “El Chapo,” respectively.

Now, it seems that Skrillex is working through the ranks of A$AP mob, with another collaboration on the horizon with the crew’s second in command, A$AP Ferg. In an interview with Billboard discussing his forthcoming sophomore album, Ferg first divulged the news of their impending partnership:

I got a crazy joint with Skrillex, this “New Levels” we’re gonna use to break the walls down for this new beginning, this new Trap Lord. I’m entering the Hood Pope now. I was the Trap Lord two years ago, I became the Hood Pope on y’all.”

We’re not entirely sure what criteria are required to be promoted from “Trap Lord” to “Hood Pope,” but we’re very excited to hear any track that can facilitate this ascension.
