CHVRCHES – Leave A Trace (Goldroom Remix)

In precious instances, Scottish band CHVRCHES becomes the subject of an electronic twist and so far, the results have been stellar. From a ZHU cover from the band themselves to a stunning remix from Eric Prydz, the bar has been set high. This time, the duties have been handed to an early champion of the nu disco movement, Goldroom, and the result is no disappointment.

Goldroom, born Josh Legg, explains that his version is derived from the nostalgia instigated by the original. Taking cues from Lauren Mayberry’s twinkling vocals, Josh layers smooth builds across the song’s soundscape, reimagining the feel of “Leave A Trace” with pillowy breakdowns and deep grooves.
