The Drill – The Drill (NERVO Remix)

Around ten years ago, as the blog haus era was just beginning, London talent The Drill unleashed his self-titled single which later went on to top several international dance charts for its trippy, futuristic vibe. In celebration of its decade in existence, the song’s home label, Destined Records, re-released the hit along with two new remixes.

Aussie twins NERVO have been recruited to provide their interpretation of the original, adding their signature energized touch to the 2005 classic. Starting off lightly, the track’s classic electro synths announce their presence shortly before dropping into a powerful burst of drums and added layers. Taking less time on the breakdowns than the original, NERVO add a certain fluidity to “The Drill” that allows it to be more easily adapted into sets more often heard in EDM’s modern age.
