Karma Fields, emerged nine months ago on Monstercat with their first single “Build The Cities.” The single came in tandem with a mind-boggling video full of 3D mapping and reactive coding. For Karma Fields’ third release, “Stickup,” alongside Danish talent MORTEN and actress/singer Juliette Lewis, the mysterious entity reintroduces us to the captivating video concept of 3D mapping but in a much darker realm.
“Stickup” is far more menacing than “Build The Cities,” beginning with Lewis’ eerie vocals calling out to Karma Fields and MORTEN like she is trapped in the video itself. With lyrics on screen to complement the audio, the production duo’s ominous tune barrels ahead with monochromatic figures warping across the screen in between Lewis’ lines.
