David Guetta makes appearance on Diplo & Friends

EDM superstar David Guetta has endured a fair amount of controversy in recent months, beginning with a lawsuit against him in June for copyright infringement and later for playing a nursery rhyme during his Tomorrowland set. That said, he persevered until the end of year with the release of remix packages for his top album singles and the launch of Pelican Project, his new alter ego oriented toward a more underground iteration of house.

Showcasing his versatility with the beginning of 2016, the Frenchman appeared on the latest edition of Diplo & Friends. His two hour slot spans a variety of genres that have graced popular festival sets recently, from bass-y future house, to toned-down French house-inspired pieces, and of course a healthy portion of big room anthems. As one of the more eclectic mixes we’ve heard from the producer aside from his “house history”-fueled Essential Mix this past May, his performance on Diplo & Friends is rather impressive, and its universally-pleasing track selection is one that will place anyone in party mode as they welcome 2016.
