Kaskade – We Won’t Stop (Elk Road Remix)
Dance heavyweight Kaskade has been making music for more than two decades, and has amassed one of the most loyal fan bases in electronic music along the way. Australian producer Elk Road recently took on the veteran producer in the official remix package for “We Won’t Stop.”
Elk Road is a newer moniker for a seasoned artist. His style under this persona is often melody-driven and emotive — well suited to reinterpret Ryan Raddon’s signature progressive compositions. Elk Road calls his edit a “late-night drive remix,” and for good reason: his version features a mellowed-out vocal topline, undulating bassline, and deep house-tinged breakdown.
“If I had to pick one song that describes the overall theme of my latest album it would be ‘We Don’t Stop,’” Kaskade said. “It’s a shout out to all my fans who have been listening to my music before it was ‘cool.’ We used to be the outsiders, and we were okay with that. It’s mind-boggling how far dance music has come. We’re not going anywhere, anytime soon.”
