Marshmello offers up a new compilation album stocked with treats
Marshmello has been one of dance music’s most sensational storylines of the last year. The light-hearted enigma has used the tool of anonymity to his advantage, seemingly emerging out of nowhere with countless friends in the dance music industry and momentum already on the rise. Introducing a sound that blends bright, bombastic melodies with glittering dance floor-primed chord arrangements, Marshmello caught our attention for all the right reasons. And for anyone who does not yet take the Adele-bootlegging, masked maestro seriously, Marshmello has collected all of his tastiest jams and compiled them into one full-length record titled Joytime.
Rounding out at 10 tracks, Marshmello offers familiar treats like “Bounce” and “Want U 2,” but also delivers on a new collaboration alongside Canadian rapper Omar Lynx called “Keep It Mello.” From some of Marshmello’s earliest cuts to some of his most recent offerings, the new collection of tracks continues to elevate the mysterious producer into what is sure to be an impressive follow-up to his breakout year in 2015.
