Mija offers her take on DJ Snake’s ‘The Middle’

Mija‘s recent emergence on the scene was a quiet affair, but since she found her footing and a label to call home, the Phoenix native has become a dance/pop culture phenomenon of sorts during her time spent with the OWSLA squad. With only a handful of productions available so far, each new tune from Mija catches our eye, and each listen proves exactly how she was able to catch Skrillex‘s ear.

Following up on a recent remix of Darren Styles’ “Come Running,” Mija offers up a new remix of DJ Snake‘s “The Middle” as part of OWSLA‘s new Worldwide Broadcast compilation. Snake’s original rendition proved to be one of the biggest tunes of 2015, and now Mija breathes new life into the track with her own bright, colorful modifications. Pitch-bending vocal samples from Bipolar Sunshine’s original versework are chopped into melodic interludes, as Mija blurs her playful production style over Snake’s original groundwork.
