Movement Detroit unveils huge 10-year anniversary lineup

Movement Electronic Music Festival is celebrating its 10-year anniversary since relaunching under Paxahau Events in 2006. Fittingly, the festival has revealed one of its strongest Phase I lineups to date.

Legendary German electronic act Kraftwerk will perform their highly buzzed-about 3-D show, marking their first appearance at Movement ever. “This is a very special booking for the festival and the fans alike,” says Paxahau artist coordinator, Chuck Flask. “Kraftwerk’s influence goes beyond electronic music – their sound revolutionized a multitude of genres and paved the way for many of the artists on this lineup.”

The seminal group will be joined by the likes of Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Âme, Dubfire, Seth Troxler, Maceo Plex, Tale of Us, John Digweed, Chris Liebing, and many of the techno world’s top performers. The lineup is further rounded out by acts like Caribou, Four Tet, and Get Real, while Movement will pay homage to Detroit’s techno legacy by hosting the likes of Carl Craig, Stacey Pullen Kevin Saunderson, and Juan Atkins and Mortiz von Oswald performing together as Borderland.

Movement has announced 60 performers in total for its Memorial Day event which takes place at Hart Plaza in Detroit on May 28-30. Tickets are available here.
