Preview this suspected new What So Not remix of RÜFÜS DU SOL’s ‘Innerbloom’
Australia is like a concentrated melting pot of dance music’s most enticing, exploratory sounds. At the moment, it seems as though two of the most spotlighted acts from down under, RÜFÜS DU SOL and What So Not, might be converging on new material. RÜFÜS, a three-man production upstart out of Sydney, recently earned a spot as one of our artists to watch in 2016, while What So Not’s long-awaited Gemini EP finally found a release late last year, officially splitting ties with Emoh Instead’s close-friend and collaborator, Flume. Now it looks like Emoh is shouldering new What So Not material with the emergence of a still unconfirmed remix of RÜFÜS’ “Innerbloom.”
The original is a single taken from RUFUS’s upcoming LP, Bloom, and just ahead of the release, a new video has surfaced showcasing What So Not’s supposed take on the track. Although nobody has claimed official authorship of the remix as of now, What So Not’s live rendition finds his unmistakable style saturating RÜFÜS’ original groundwork.
