Len Faki’s newest remix was never intended to see the light of day. The German techno stalwart has been experimenting in the studio with lighter, melody-driven material — a far-cry from his pummeling Berghain style. The sonic experimentation has given birth to three new remixes, including a rendition of Philipe Petit’s “Suspended.”

Faki employs a classic 909 kit for the crisp techno foundation on his remix. The track truly sets off, however, when the airy arpeggio enters into the mix, serving as the song’s central melodic hook. It’s a different cut than we’re used to hearing from Faki, but a pleasant surprise nonetheless.
