Shiba San’s Basement Leaks label is starting 2016 on filthy good form. With just one release from the renowned house heavyweight himself to its name, the label kick starts a new year of solid club offerings with a gathering of fertile talents from across the globe. Californian prospect Dateless lands for their second installment with an on-point stab at house music’s more untamed heartstrings. The sluggish yet infectious sample work of “Some People” rides a fine body of sluggish grooves and murky lead work. The product is a cut that seamlessly embodies a very exciting peak in effortlessly solid club cuts with serious attitude — something we have come to expect from Shiba and his growing army of peers.
