New study finds that couples who listen to music together have more sex

A new study, conducted by an independent researcher and sponsored by Apple Music and Sonos, suggests that playing music out loud at home can boost happiness, bring families together, and, most importantly, get you laid. The researchers surveyed the activities and emotional states of 30 households in eight countries as they spent one week with no music and one week with music. The results showed that families that listen to music out loud are significantly less hostile and irritable, and spend more time together, than those that don’t.

But the big finding is that couples who play music out loud have almost twice as much sex per week as those that don’t. The study also shows that music leads to better sex, increased attraction, and stronger bonds of love and trust within relationships. So whether it’s Flume, Foals, or anything in-between, turn up the tunes if you want to get lucky.
