At this point, it’s certainly not breaking news that Berlin label Exploited is a global powerhouse in underground dance music: between releases from masked man of mystery Claptone, a steady stream of fresh new talent and excellent overall curation from label boss Shir Khan, everything the label touches seems to turn to gold. The label continues to push ahead in 2016 with no signs of slowing down, presenting two huge collaborative tracks from Berlin-via-Helsinki producer Kiki.
Best known for his smash hit “Good Voodoo,” which is also the name of his Ibiza Sonica radio show, Kiki’s production skills have landed him credits on top labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Bpitch Control and Bugged Out. For this release, Kiki has teamed up with two different fresh faces for big tracks that have been doing magic in his recent DJ sets. “Tentacles”, which features Jadele, builds with an ever-cascading synth riff and hypnotic vocal chop before bellowing horns enter and add in some low-end oomph. It’s a dark and stormy tension-filled track primed for take off at any point, but stays in the pocket while anticipation swells.
Ultimately, Exploited continues to deliver the goods, welcoming Kiki back into the fold with two dark and storming dance floor smashers.
