Skrillex has now won more Grammys than any other electronic artist
Diplo has been the most talked about name in electronic music surrounding the 58th Grammys, where he was nominated thrice — two times as a member of Jack Ü and another as Producer of the Year. While Diplo is this year’s most nominated electronic artist, however, his partner, Skrillex, has made history as well. Prior this year, Skrillex and Daft Punk held the lead for electronic artist with the most Grammys, both holding six awards each.
However, after winning Best Dance Recording for “Where Are Ü Now” with Diplo and Justin Bieber, and Best Dance/Electronic Album for Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü, Skrillex is now the proud owner of 8 Grammy Awards. Having indisputably superseded Daft Punk as the Grammys’ all-time winningest dance music artist, it will be interesting to note what further avenues Mr. Moore will take in 2016.
