Spring Awakening opts for new venue, Jackson Park
Big changes are in store for the fifth annual Spring Awakening festival. The Chicago, Illinois affair will relocate from its original home, Soldier Field, in light of international soccer tournament, Copa America, that is slated to take place at the stadium.
Spring Awakening will instead take place at a much larger Jackson Park from June 10-12. The new space, a 500-acre park, is expected to better accommodate Spring Awakening’s growing fanbase as it cements itself as the largest electronic music festival in the region. Promising six stages – two of which will act as main stages – the 2016 edition of the annual gathering will see Spring Awakening make its mark as the Midwest’s leading electronic music festival.
