Mija's Official Playboy Photo Shoot

Playboy has featured OWSLA titan, Mija, in their latest (SFW) photo shoot. With her LA loft serving as the shoot’s backdrop, Mija poses on her bed, in a cushy armchair, and before a sun-drenched window. Some photos also take place on the streets of LA as she flaunts her countless tattoos and signature garb. Citing the experience as “different and rad,” Mija’s dabbling into the modeling world implies an exciting new avenue for the burgeoning producer.

“We just vibed out with my triple J mixtape on and shot using art and other found objects lying in my loft,” she says. The photo shoot is part of Playboy’s ongoing rebranding strategy, moving away from nudity into the role of a lifestyle brand.

2016 was not the first time Playboy tapped into the dance music sphere. Rewind to 2013 when Krewella and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano appeared in the magazine for an interview and photo shoot, respectively.
