Now in its 31st year, the International Dance Music Awards has long served as an annual ceremony that recognizes dance music’s top performers, tracks, clubs, media outlets and more. From “Best Artist” to “Best Tech House/Techno track,” IDMA’s all-encompassing competition spans a total of 57 different categories.

Taking place during Miami’s Winter Music Conference each year, IDMA typically offers voters a limited selection of artists, tracks, publications, and radio mixshows from which to choose. This year, however, the annual event is departing from its traditionally cut-and-dry voting process. Now, voters are given free rein to fill out their ballots to their liking, void of any pre-selected options.
