Watch This: MK and Becky Hill debut ‘Piece of Me’ live in LA
Last month, Pete Tong made the bold, yet seemingly appropriate move to bring the Essential Mix Live to his second home – Los Angeles. In doing so, Richie Hawtin and Lee K. joined the venerable talent as the famed radio show took its first steps outside of the studio and into the true epicenter of dance music.
Ahead of the Essential Mix Live’s debut, Richie Hawtin, Claude Von Stroke, Eric Prydz, MK and more took to a West Hollywood rooftop for a live BBC Radio 1 broadcast. During the afternoon affair, MK premiered his new record alongside Becky Hill, “Piece of Me.” The piano-laden track — a full-fledged house production saturated with shreds of pop — embodies the glistening energy and infectious beat that Kinchen has mastered as a DJ and producer.
This is not the first time Kinchen has targeted Becky Hill. Nearly two years ago, the deep house maven remixed Rudimental’s song “Powerless,” featuring Hill’s husky vocal talents.
