Disclosure and Flume may converge on new material again very soon
Fans already know what to expect when their favorite artists’ face is delineated in white. It’s happened to The Weeknd. It has also happened to Usher, Lorde, and Pharrell Williams, each of whose faces mark another stepping stone in Disclosure‘s rise to the top of the global dance scene. But when Flume got his white etching back in 2013 for his effort on Settle’s “You & Me,” that remix changed the course of Flume’s career, and now it could very well happen again.
In an Instagram post that has since been deleted, the Lawrence brothers posted a photo of Flume’s face with a strangely familiar ghostly outline. While a shred of evidence has yet to emerge regarding an impending collaboration, a reunion of their two distinct styles has been due for some time. With the Australian superstar gearing up to release his sophomore LP, Skin, and revamp his live setup for the summer’s festival circuit, history may be primed to repeat itself as Disclosure and Flume pair up for the second time in their careers.
