Ultra co-founder confirmed to have had numerous drugs in his system around time of passing

Alex Omes, co-founder of Ultra Music Festival, died suddenly last January just before his lawsuit against his former partner was set to begin. At the time, it was reported that cocaine was found in the Argentine’s room. Now, the autopsy report from the Miami-Dade County medical examiner confirms that Omes tested positive for amphetamines, ketamine, cocaine, and trace amounts of GHB in his system.

Authorities have not given an official cause of death. Omes’ brother Carlos, however, stated that,”Foul play has not been ruled out,” pointing to the timing of Omes’ passing immediately before his lawsuit against Ultra was going to trial as suspicious. That trial ended up going in Ultra’s favor, though Carlos Omes is appealing that decision.

Ultra will be held in Miami March 18-20.
