We’ve seen a lot of different sides to WDL over the past 12 months, all pointing to an invigorating new side to Johan Wedel and his highly evolved sound scope. Picking up where “Hurricane Highlife” left off, the versatile Swede dials things down a notch, but not without delivering one of his most powerful pieces of tinted electronic pop to date. This is the most stripped back side to WDL’s production prowess we’ve heard thus far, but with MAWE’s vocals back in tow, “Monster VS Angel” thickens the plot considerably for the Swedish prospect and the road to his fabled debut album.
