Check out the world’s first 3D audio headphones, OSSIC X

We live in a brave new world in which each way we turn, there exists a bold and exciting piece of art or technology that’s pushing boundaries. Wearable tech is the newest wave, and at the edge of that innovation, OSSIC X are aiming to be the first 3D audio headphones available on the market.

The team at OSSIC believe there is a sizable disconnect between the technology currently available and what is possible in the 3D sound spectrum, and they plan to fill that gap with the OSSIC X. The headphones are designed to give the listener a real-time feel for the auditory occurrences taking place around them by combining proprietary motion algorithms with personalized anatomy calibration. Sounds are experienced from behind, above, and below. The OSSIC X headphones are being created to tap into the natural listening aesthetic and deliver a full dimensional range of high-fidelity audio.

The team’s Kickstarter campaign has attracted hundreds of supporters as the first model of 3D headphones nears completion. Aimed primarily towards users across the virtual reality and gaming spaces, the headphones are shown in concert and home theatre contexts as well, promising the most significant advancement in wearable audio technology in the last 65 years.
