Creamfields unveils new 20,000 person super structure, ‘Steel Yard’

With the festival’s expansion from three to four days for 2016, Creamfields has set a precedent for a desire to make this year’s festival bigger in every way. Featuring acts Above and BeyondMartin GarrixHardwell, and Tiesto, as well as one of the final performances from Avicii, the festival has booked artists to match their ambitions.

The festival has now unveiled a new super structure to match. Dubbed the “Steel Yard,” it will have a capacity of 20,000 people. With a capacity that large, the stage will be equally as monstrous, though the unveiling does reveal that the occupants who are far from the stage will be dazzled by an array of lights and screens hanging from the roof throughout. Though just a rendering, the video is very impressive. Enticingly, it ends with a declaration that the festival still has more to reveal for 2016.
