Kesha and Zedd reveal release date for ‘True Colors’ collaboration

Those privy to the embroilment surrounding Kesha and her precarious legal situation involving producer, Dr. Luke, and Sony Music, will recall the outpouring of support that has manifested from fellow musicians. One such name who has continued to publicly back the singer is Zedd. Having tweeted in February offering to produce a song for Kesha, and then bringing her out for a special performance of “True Colors” during Coachella, there now exists confirmation that a track from the two will come to fruition.

Kesha posted a photo to her Instagram, professing her deep appreciation of the opportunity she was afforded in working with Zedd, stating:

it’s a miracle when someone gives you a chance at finding your voice again with no reason other than that he is a fucking beautiful person with a heart of gold @zedd #truecolors

Zedd followed this post with his own tweet, confirming that the “True Colors” collaboration will officially be released on April 29. While not much more information is known, this song will mark Kesha’s first single since 2013’s “Timber,” and is a significant step for the singer following her legal battles and case that remains open in Los Angeles.
