Watch This: Pasquale Rotella elaborates on the theme of EDC’s 20th anniversary festival

Pasquale Rotella’s life was changed drastically for the better upon attending his first underground rave in the early 1990s. He elaborates on the permanent and influential hold rave culture has over his life during the preview video for EDC’s 20th anniversary celebration. His sentiments reflect many ravers’ feelings of the positive impact the culture has had on their lives, as he founded Insomniac in order to maintain the constant presence of “the sense of community, the art, the music, and the good energy that has made my life beautiful.”

The milestone theme for this year’s event, “The Spirit, Energy, & Experience,” thus became clear early on to Rotella. He aims to underline the spirituality of dedicated fans converging each year for such a famed event, promoting the usual tenets of letting oneself go and embrace their true selves among a crowd of friendly and like-minded people. As 2015 had seen several improvements to the overall experience, EDC 2016 is shaping up to be another fantastic journey under the Electric Sky.
