Watch This: deadmau5 streams a live performance from his home studio

With his dedicated channel on Twitch, deadmau5 has fully embraced streaming as a way for fans to listen and view his work. The Canadian producer has cameras set up in his lavishly equipped home studio that will broadcast his mad experiments whenever he pleases. On April 6, mau5 treated his fans to — if his Twitter is any indication — an impromptu live set.

His performance lasted for nearly two hours and saw the producer using a combination of Pioneer CDJs, touch screen pad, and Ableton Live to treat his viewers to a hybrid DJ set/live performance. Deadmau5 also leaned heavily into techno for this set, which had its fair share of mistakes as he worked through new ideas for performance.
