Kill the Noise and Feed Me have proven a formidable duo over the years. Their latest collaboration arrived in the form of “I Do Coke,” a hefty midtempo cut taken from Kill the Noise’s 2015 album, Occult Classic. Now the pair have revealed the official video for the single, providing a stirring visual narrative to the song’s oft-overlooked satire. As you’d expected from the off-kilter collaboration, the video is a dark, drug-induced thrill ride that only gets stranger as it goes on.
While “I Do Coke” has previously been lambasted for promoting drug use, Kill the Noise has since clarified the song’s intentions alongside the new video: “The message is that if you aren’t careful, you can become figuratively (and literally) consumed by your lifestyle of addiction,” he says. “The main character in this story has found himself stuck on an endless merry-go-round that goes nowhere.”
