We’re still buzzing from ZHU’s weekend 1 Coachella performance. From his cinematic intro, to bringing out Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, the LA-based producer pulled out all the stops for his Coachella debut.

Amid a string of alluring originals, Zhu performed a brand new remix of Faithless’s classic rave anthem, “Insomnia.” While the song has been revamped, recontextualized, and reconfigured seemingly without end since its arrival in 1995, the iconic chord progression never fails incite a flurry of nostalgia. ZHU’s rendition puts a spacious, halftime spin on the anthem, employing vocal cuts, snaking hi-hat rolls, and horn stabs for a fresh facelift on the track. The brief video clip ends with a sweet saxophone riff, playing the song out.

Though ZHU has yet to publicly acknowledge the remix, his team has confirmed it as his own. No word on the release date yet, though ZHU did end his Coachella performance with the ambiguous date July 29th, 2016, presumably referring to the arrival of his debut album.
