The DA Hot 25: May 25, 2016

The DA Hot 25 is the definitive playlist series running through dance music culture and hand-delivering you with the essential tracks of the week. Whether it’s the hottest or quickest trending tracks, brand new music from your favorite artists, or songs from the unknown that should be landing on your radar, Dancing Astronaut brings you 25 carefully selected records that reflect what’s happening in our world.

Check out this week’s playlist featuring crossover summer anthems from Seeb, Martin Solveig, Pierce Fulton; stunning melodic deep house from Nick Thalos, Kaskade & Felix Cartal, Two Friends; and new chilled out singles from Unlike Pluto, Halsey & Lido, and Area21. Additionally, the greatest ears in dance music will make bold picks within The DA Hot 25, each week highlighting two featured tracks:

The Heat of the Week: Krewella – Surrender the Throne

Returning with their first body of work in three years, Krewella crafted a multi-dimensional EP, Ammunition, that showcased a refreshed style for the Yousaf sisters. “Surrender the Throne” stood out as The Heat of The Week for the track’s blending of emotional and dark tones in a drum & bass structure.

The Breakout Select: Coldplay – Hymn for the Weekend (Seeb Remix)

After their breakout remix of Mike Posner’s “I Took A Pill In Ibiza” became one of the hottest tracks in the world, SeeB were subsequently commissioned by Coldplay to remix their single, “Hymn for the Weekend,” in hopes of the same trajectory as Posner’s.

Tune in each Wednesday, exclusively on Apple Music, where The DA Hot 25 debuts weekly on our curator page.
