DA Premiere: Justin Jay feat. Josh Taylor – Climbing Trees (Original Mix)
Part 1 of Justin Jay’s Fantastic Voyage (The Album!) was an exceedingly relaxed mix of tunes out on Black Butter. Part 2 switched directions, showcasing his true house roots via an EP on Freerange. Then came the first song off Part 3, a pop infused release titled “Let Go” out on Soul Clap Records.
To round it all out now comes Part 4, making its debut on Lee Foss’ Repopulate Mars imprint (otherwise known as the home for ‘alien funk’). Premiering exclusively on Dancing Astronaut is the first track from this collection, “Climbing Trees.” The song was played out at last year’s inaugural Dirtybird Campout and provides a low-end, mystical listening experience that is well aligned with Repopulate Mars’ mission. Whirling to life amidst an enchanting soundscape, the track is replete with the feathery vocals and crisp guitar licks that have become a staple of Justin Jay & Friends releases. Listen to it below.
