Though the world remains in a persistent state of flux, ever so patiently waiting for the next release from Daft Punk, new remixes continue to crop up, keeping things fresh. The latest example is k?d’s contemporary take on “Doin It Right.”

Similar to Daft Punk’s initial aversion to revealing their true identities, k?d has chosen to join the legions of those opting to remain enigmatic. Dissimilar to Daft Punk, however, k?d has forayed into the future bass space. Selecting to remix a song as distinctive as “Doin It Right” is no simple feat, yet the producer has been able to do so with grace, adding twinkling chords and deeply saturated swells to give the original a cinematic new rendition.
