Cornucopia unveils coveted new remix to ‘Temporary Sanity’ by Guy J

Hernan Cattaneo opened his Burning Man 2015 set at White Ocean with an enchanting progressive track carrying an air of familiarity. It was later revealed as “The Day You Got Older And Stronger” by Cornucopia, Guy J‘s new alias. May 12 brought along its release alongside “Emotional Tourist” for his first official EP under the moniker.

Another coveted production of his had also been circulating in the progressive and techno realms: a remix to “Temporary Sanity,” a classic off Guy Mantzur and Sahar Z’s album Time. Guy J’s rendition of the classic dresses up the breaks piece in a percussive 4/4 overlay accented by light synth layers. Complex rhythms struck by exotic drums paired with Eastern-influenced hints of melody give the remix a more mysterious tone that is easy to get lost in as the mind drifts off.

The song was initially released by John Digweed on his Live In Montreal mix album, and the full version is officially available through Guy’s legendary Lost&Found imprint.
