Icon Collective Spotlight: AprilICON TRACK OF THE MONTH APRIL

Icon Collective Spotlight: April

Icon Collective has solidified its reputation as the premier educational facility for electronic music production on the West Coast. The North Hollywood arts school has become a breeding ground for the next generation of talent, as evidenced by its formidable track record, which includes the likes of Jauz, MAKJ, Slander, SNBNRN and more.

To spotlight some of the amazing talent coming out of the school, we’ve teamed up with Icon for a new monthly series highlighting tracks from the past month from both current students and Icon graduates.

April brought along a diverse array of material from Icon artists. Recent graduate and Cymatics sound designer Kompany put an aggressive bass music spin on NGHTMRE’s recent single “Touch” (which was good enough to receive an official cosign from NGHTMRE). Another recent grad, Thomas Garcia, unearthed his first original, “Ride This,” a funky house number on Deep Sounds. Meanwhile, current student PLS&TY teamed with Autolaser for a suave trap number titled “Hiding From the Rain,” while pop duo Papa Ya released feel-good anthem “Fine Livin.'” Lastly, new project Limitless — a product of Icon’s collaboration class — delivered some stellar future bass with “Trust.”
