Kygo debuts two-part videos for “Raging” and “I’m In Love”

Since the critically acclaimed release of his debut album Cloud Nine, Kygo has kept busy bringing his expanded live show along on a string of international appearances. Now the Norwegian icon has brought his signature sunny sound to life with two official music videos from the LP.

The complementary pair of videos for “Raging” ft Kodaline and “I’m In Love” ft Vincent McMorrow tell the melancholy story of a Brazilian couple struggling with love and loss. Both are directed by Astre Pictures’ Ariel Elia.

In “Raging,” their relationship unfolds in Rio de Janeiro amidst scenes of political unrest and often violent clashes between police and protesters. The two chase each other through crowded streets, seemingly trying to decide whether their love abates or exacerbates the tension they see playing out in the streets.

In “I’m In Love,” we see the same couple in Paris, traipsing through a series of the city’s iconic, romantic tourist destinations. Though they should be happy, the tension between them is palpable. The duo is often out of sync, facing in opposite directions or reaching out for one another at just the wrong time. The clip culminates at a Kygo concert where the two decide their love outweighs whatever may be going on around them.

The videos are a solid visual accompaniment for their respective tracks and serve as a reminder why Kygo’s Cloud Nine is currently dominating the Billboard Dance chart.
